Short description:
Day 1: Pick up from your hotel at 8 AM and private transport to the Trailstart at the far end of the Llanganuco Valley where our porters will be waiting for us. From there we walk approximately 1,5-2 hours to the Chopicalqui Basecamp.
Day 2: Hike from the Base Camp to the Hochcamp.
Day 3: Today we hike from the high camp to camp 2. We use our crampons and rope up today for the first part on snow. Campsite on the glacier.
Briefing about the attack with your guide and preparation of your pack for tomorrow.
Day 4: We get up at 0:00 AM to have breakfast (or maybe only drink a cup of coffee) and get dressed. At 1 AM we start hiking towards the glacier to reach the summit approximately 7-8 hours later. Descend to camp 2.
Day 5: From camp 2 hike back to the road from where our private transport will take you back to Huaraz for your well-deserved shower.

Comment: Very fit people can climb Chopicalqui also in only 4 days by going from the base camp immediately to camp 2 and perhaps on the summit day return to the base camp rather than the high camp.
