Llanganuco Lakes

The two marvellous turquoise LLANGANUCO Lakes are located in the CORDILLERA BLANCA, close to the city of HUARAZ.   The vegetation in the area of the LLANGANUCO Lakes is extraordinary - on the Maria-Josefa-trail you believe to be in the jungle: Queñuales (on the picture), bromelias,tillandsias, epiphytes.....and innumerable creeks
   
  The LLANGANUCO-Lakes are at the base of mighty Mt. HUASCARÁN, the highest mountain of Peru (6768 m)
